We are staying in a cute small hotel near the train station and Grand Canal. Very peaceful.
Purchased our 3 day water taxi passes and boated to Rialto bridge and walked around the pretty streets of Venice. Plenty of postcard vistas.
Out for dinner soon to a trattoria recommended by our hotelier.
