Pretty Pisciotta

All this holidaying can get tiring so a rest day is important and what a perfect spot to rest.

Clouds cleared to a stunning day. Cup of tea and a read before heading into town for a coffee, Internet and swim. The communal square was packed with market day and people and we enjoyed looking around the stalls. Bought some cool shorts.

Checked the emails to learn that Louise had passed her restricted driving test. Molto buono Louise!! A nice segway into driving in Italy. We have found the drivers extremely polite skilled and patient. The roads off the autostrada are typically narrow with lots of blind corners. The locals take these quickly but are considerate when there is a squeeze and maybe some reversing required.

It seems you can park anywhere here, double, triple, back to front and on pedestrian crossings. We could not believe a bus trying to squeeze through the main street but it managed with help from locals and moving offending cars.

A great swim at the very kiwi marina beach without the rows of beach umbrellas and sun beds. Back home for a lunch of fresh bread tomatoes and cheese and then a siesta and read.

We have a cat that has adopted us and we have called her Mouse because she loves cheese. Lots of colourful skinks too basking in the sun. They remain un-named.

Kay and Justin went for another swim and Julie and I went for a walk. Happy hour and then out to Angeline's a ristorante by the sea.  Beautiful classy meal with anchovies, buffalo ricotta, stuffed potatoes, grilled fish and yummy desserts.

Last night was capped off with the loudest and longest thunderstorm we have ever experienced. Thor is not happy, perhaps we transgressed at the temples in Paestum!

Off to Ravello this morning for a taste of Amalfi Coast.
